This means that the service has been shortlisted for the national award which will be announced at a special event on Wednesday 10 July.

The Excellence in Urgent and Emergency Care Award seeks to celebrate the amazing work of our emergency care services across the country – whether that’s A&E doctors and nurses, Ambulance Service paramedics and technicians, out-of-hours GPs or the 999 and 111 teams who take calls from worried members of the public.

The Digital Health Team were nominated by Angela Rayner, MP for Ashton under Lyne for their pioneering work supporting patients in care and nursing homes and providing a community response service, extra care housing and domiciliary care services for the local authority.
